GB4Y Summercamp '05 Report
Hey, 2005 was the year that saw the first ever Foursquare GB youth camp, little was known about how this would turn out, but finding out was half the fun! This camp saw 50 young people from around GB come together in Southampton for a weekend in September. The theme of this camp was ‘More To Life’. This was showing young people that there is more to this life than possessions they may own, or the close on their back, or the food that they eat. In fact the point of there being more to life is that these young people can live a life for God and can do so many amazing things for Him. This weekend involved lots of fun activities and getting dirty too, they participated in events from team building to flying down a zip-wire to muddy obstacle courses. The evenings saw the youth have a meeting which was filled with Spirit led praise and worship, the scene of seeing so many young people worshipping God is fantastic! Also the meeting contained teachings on the whole More to Life area. For a first time outing, this camp was a great success and also not the last one either!
